Following the retirement of our Director of Finance and Operations, we now seek a new CFOO to drive our non-teaching functions as we enter a new phase of development. Location: Redhill Everychild Partnership Trust provides high-quality, inclusive education to over 2,300 pupils across six primary schools and an independent nursery across Surrey and West Sussex. The Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFOO) is a new leadership role building on the work that our Director of Operations and Finance has undertaken since our merger in 2023. This CFOO role will combine strategic oversight with operational management across finance, HR, IT, governance, and estates for the Everychild Partnership Trust. Reporting to the CEO and Board of Trustees, the CFOO is a strategic leader and a key part of the Executive Leadership Team. A successful candidate will be important in shaping our trust in the future by aligning operational excellence with our educational vision. As CFOO, you will lead the development of shared services, ensuring cost-efficiency, consistency, and quality across all functional areas. You’ll lead our financial planning, risk management and compliance, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively to enhance educational outcomes. Your work will also oversee key initiatives such as academy conversions, capital investments, and infrastructure improvements. Beyond finance, the role includes strategic leadership in HR, IT, and estates management. You’ll work to develop a people-focused culture, promoting staff wellbeing, professional growth, and inclusivity. By championing innovation and collaboration, you’ll ensure our schools have the tools and support they need to succeed. Governance is another critical aspect, with the CFOO serving as a trusted advisor to the Board and contributing to effective decision-making through clear analysis and recommendations. You’ll also ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, safeguarding the Trust’s integrity. Who we are looking for. This role requires a strategic and operational leader committed to the Trust’s values of inclusivity, collaboration and excellence. We are seeking someone who can demonstrate experience in senior leadership roles that integrate financial and operational management. Our ideal candidate will come with a track record in delivering strategic and operational improvements within complex organisations alongside expertise in financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The role demands a strategic thinker with outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage complexity with creativity and precision. You will be an inspiring and collaborative leader who can motivate teams and build relationships with stakeholders across all levels. While not essential, experience within the education or academies sector, familiarity with ESFA regulations, or expertise in public sector financial management would be advantageous.
